Wesley Snipes Owes U.S. $ 13 Million In Taxes

Wesley Snipes jailed for tax evasion which he should be paid to the government of the United States. Wesley Snipes owes the U.S. government U.S. $ 13 million in taxes. The actor was surrendered to the federal government, on Saturday (20/11) and now being ‘in transit’ go to federal prison. A judge in Florida revoke the guarantee of detention, and ordered Snipes to immediately report themselves to authorities, after rejecting an appeal from his lawyers, Daniel Meachum, who asked a judge to review and give probation to Snipes.
Judge Terrell Hodges said, “Defendant Snipes has undergone a fair trial. Now is the time for him to undergo a court decision.” As reported by The Sun, this 48-old actor was found guilty in April 2008 for failing to file tax returns in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
He owes the U.S. government U.S. $ 13 million in taxes. After the appeal was filed last July, the lawyer said the actor was a prison sentence is ‘absurd’ and think probation is more appropriate. Federal Bureau of Prisons has not yet announced the exact prison for Snipes that will undergo the punishment.
