Mentawai Experienced Another Earthquake on Saturday

Mentawai (West Sumatra) experienced another earthquake on Saturday 20 November 2010, this time the quake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale with a depth of 32 kilometers. Based on the information Climatology Meteorology and Geophysics Agency , the location of the quake was at 3:42 South latitude – 100.01 East longitude. An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter Scale is no potential to cause tsunami.
The quake’s epicenter occurred at 56 km southwest of South Pagai Mentawai West Sumatra, 80 km North Pagai Mentawai West Sumatra, 140 km southeast Sipura Mentawai, 154 km southwest Mukomuko, Bengkulu. Read also: Merapi Mount Eruption in Yogyakarta Indonesia.
